What Is Prayer?

What is prayer really? Of course it’s talking to God and also listening to and for His reply. Jesus said, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you, for everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks it shall opened.” ~~ Matthew 7:7-8.

Jesus also gave us this pattern to pray: “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen!” ~~ Matthew 6:9-13.

This is a template as we pray over ourselves, our families, our church, our government, and everyone on our prayer list. And we know that when we ask we receive for our good, and for God’s glory.
